John & Kami Zumwalt
Senior Pastors
John and Kami Zumwalt are the Senior Pastors at The Father's House. John holds a Master's degree from Corban University, is a teacher and preacher of the word, often flows in a gift of healing, and has a passion and call to the Pacific Northwest. He also serves as the Grace International Superintendent for Oregon, and on the board for the regional BeOne Umpqua ministerial association serving over 40 pastors and leaders in Douglas County.
Kami serves as Co-Senior Pastor with John, and is a preacher of the word with a prophetic flair. She oversees the pastoral counseling department, creative arts team, and heads up the women's ministry, "Flourish" at the Father's House. She is also a freelance writer, and home-school mom.
Together they are passionate to empower people into their callings, reach the lost, build community, and help usher in the next great awakening in the body of Christ.
When they are not ministering, you'll find them chasing chickens on their small farm, playing bluegrass or spending time with their three adorable kids, Ruth, Eliza, and Zeb
Brian & Jennifer Vaughn
Associate Pastors
For over fifteen years, Brian and Jen have faithfully served at The Father’s House, serving with commitment, wisdom, and a deep love for God’s people. As Associate Pastors and members of our Board of Directors, they advance the mission of the house, serve on our teaching and preaching team, oversee our young adults ministry and oversee the discipleship program.
With a passion to see lives transformed, they create spaces where people are challenged, equipped, encouraged, and empowered to become mature disciples and passionate followers of Jesus.
Beyond ministry, they are raising two fast-growing and highly gifted kids!
Bill & Helen Sanders
Founding Pastors
After 45 years of great ministry - guiding and building The Father's House into a region impacting church, Pastors Bill and Helen Sanders have transitioned from the Senior Pastors at The Father's House. The Sanders' continue to serve as pastors emeritus, and prayer warriors, sharing wisdom, strength, and their passion to see lost souls saved burns as bright as ever.
Jeanie Dowdy
Counseling Pastor
Jeanie carries a depth of wisdom, faith, and spiritual maturity that has helped shape lives, movements, and the very culture of The Father’s House for decades. Her faithful presence and powerful prophetic voice have spoken encouragement, direction, and truth into countless hearts, leaving a lasting impact across generations.
Gifted and experienced as a pastoral counselor, Jeanie has a deep love for seeing people encounter the transforming power of God’s Word. She has walked alongside hundreds through seasons of brokenness and breakthrough, passionately believing that captives can be set free and that no life is beyond the reach of God’s redeeming love.
Justin & Tessah Denney
Associate/Youth Pastors
Justin and Tessah are a powerful duo at the Father's House- bringing fresh intercessory prayer, teaching gifts, songs of worship, and desire to see the torch passed well to the youth of our generation.
Tessah reaches hearts through teaching, fostering connections, and messages that leave a grace mark. Justin serves both with youth, in worship, and is a gifted techie. They have served in ministry for fifteen years, value deep connections, pursuing God's Presence, and are also currently raising three beautiful kids, Jarvis, Macy and Olivia
Rachael Burke
Administrative Director
With a rich heritage at the Father's House, Racheal serves as our Administrator Director, helping keep the many moving pieces of church life moving forward with purpose, creativity, and a smile. From systems, social media, communications, Grace International Liaison, to events and the countless administrative details that happen behind the scenes, she has a remarkable ability to see what needs to be done and get things moving.
Loyal, upbeat, and quick on her feet, Racheal is a natural problem-solver who can pivot when plans change and find a way forward when others might see a roadblock. She also serves in worship leading and faithfully assists her devoted and invaluable husband, B.J., as he serves as an Assistant Youth Pastor to our Father's House teens. Together, they pour into the growth of the House with genuine hearts for advancing the Mission and changing the world. While making things happen within the church, they are also making great things happen within their home, raising two outstanding kids.
Denny & Vickie Stahl
Salt N' Light Outreach
Denny and Vickie have a rich 45 year history in ministry including church planting, working as Lead Pastors, serving as the Northwest director for The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and prayer coordinators.
They currently serve at The Father's House as one of our worship team leaders, on our teaching team, in outreach, and pastoral care.
Vickie leads one of the vibrant Flourish small groups. Their humility, passion to mentor and faithfulness touch all they undertake.
Michelle Altermatt
Family Life Director
Michelle serves as our Family Life Director with a deep passion for empowering others, strengthening families, and never overlooking the one who needs to be seen and cared for. Having grown up with five brothers, she brings a unique blend of strength, resilience, humor, and grace to everything she does.
With a master’s degree in Curriculum Development and recognition as Douglas County School District’s Teacher of the Year last year, Michelle carries both wisdom and excellence into her leadership. She oversees our children’s church staff, helps support the parenting needs within our church family, and leads the development of classes and curriculum designed to help people grow.
Steve & Helen Smith
Lead Children's Teachers/Facilities
Steve and Helen embody the heart of faithful service at The Father’s House. Steve is the kind of man who can fix just about anything—and over the years, he probably has! Whether he’s running full speed to care for our facilities, making house calls to repair what’s broken, or quietly stepping in wherever there is a need, Steve serves with reliability, focus, and a deep sense loyalty to leadership. For decades, he has also carried a passion for prayer and deliverance ministry, faithfully standing as a prayer warrior and helping others experience freedom in Christ.
Helen shares her gifts of teaching as she pours into the next generation as our lead Wednesday night children’s teacher.
Their faithful commitment continues to to make a lasting impact on our church family.
Dottie Woodward
Missions Director/Hospital Chaplin
Pastor Dottie has faithfully served The Father’s House for over forty years with tremendous loyalty, a deeply pastoral heart, and a contagious love for people. As our Missions Director and hospital chaplain, she has spent years serving families throughout our community—meeting people in some of life’s deepest and most difficult moments.
Whether through a hospital visit, a home visit, a comforting conversation, or faithful prayer, Dottie has a special gift for nurturing those who are hurting and reminding people that they are seen, loved, and never alone. She is a gifted prayer warrior whose compassion is matched by her steadfast faith.
Dottie also carries a deep love for missions and faithfully oversees communication and prayer needs for our many missionaries, helping keep The Father’s House connected to the work God is doing around the world.
Marilyn Downs
Legacy Leader/Hope for souls
With vibrancy, diligence, and a heart full of compassion, Marilyn brings life and purpose to every season. Through our Legacy Seniors Ministry, she lovingly encourages and equips our senior adults, reminding them that no season of life is without meaning, purpose, or opportunity to make a difference.
Marilyn’s passion for people reaches far into our community,.as the leader of Hope for Souls, she faithfully goes into homeless camps, bringing hundreds of meals to those in need while offering something even more lasting—the hope and love of Jesus Christ. Whether she is serving a meal, sharing the Gospel, or simply taking time to see and love someone who may feel forgotten, Marilyn is committed to bringing hope to the hurting.
Candi Kooken
Administrative Assistant
Candi serves at The Fathers House with creativity, a value for details, and a contagious love for people. She's passionate about God's purposes, has a knack of bringing beauty to events, and bringing out the best in those around her. She's an encourager, an organizer, and serves her church family faithfully as an administrative assistant.
Lori Hollenbeck
Event Coordinator/ Production Team Director
Lori serves as our Event Coordinator and Director of Media Productions, bringing vision to life one detail at a time. Fun and full of encouragement, personable and driven, Lori brings both joy and determination wherever she goes. She is faithful in the work, diligent in the details, and always moving forward—helping people, plans, and productions come together with excellence. Lori is passionate about the mission to advance God's Kingdom at the Father's House.
Laura Reeves
Children's Church Event Coordinator/Lead Teacher
With contagious enthusiasm, a knack for problem solving, and a gift for teaching children, Laura serves at the Father's House as a lead children's teacher, and as our event planner for our children's church department. Interwoven into her skills is her passion for nature, praise, and an ability to build just about anything using paint to leftover knick knacks. Her kindness, and boundless energy fills the 4th and 5th graders classroom with limitless fun and a deep love for Christ.
Jeff & Melissa Scmidt
Children's Church Staff
Jeff and Melissa find so much joy in watching the smiles, and excitement of 1st -3rd graders grow in their faith at the Father's House. Jeff's grandparents were pastors here over fifty years ago! They too carry a great heritage of faith, humor, hard work, excellence, and find it a great honor to serve the next generation. When not knee deep in children's church lessons, they also enjoy traveling, being outdoors and spending time with family, especially their bright young son, Grayson.

Camille Gent
Souther Oregon School of Ministry Assistant
Camille serves the Father's House as our southern Oregon School of Ministry assistant. With a powerful testimony, and tenacious love for God, Camille is passionate about reaching those trapped in darkness and bringing them to the Light of Jesus. With a great sense of humor, and authenticity Camille shares the word and love of God with those around her by building up others in walks with Christ, writing for our in house devotional, “The Well’ , in her speaking ministry, Camille Rose Ministries, and in her involvement and passion for our Ministry School department.
